- Arcelor-Mittal
- Bell Canada
- Cascades
- Éco Entreprises Québec and Recyc-Québec

Mission
In the context of sustainable development, all spheres of society must consider the actual ecological value of their actions. This can only be accomplished by establishing a solid scientific base for this reflection and studying real cases.
The proposed mission of the Chair is as follows:
“To deliver an integrated research program that increases basic knowledge and develops the generic life cycle tools needed to implement sustainable development in our partners’ respective sectors.”
Goals
To fulfill its mission, the Chair's management has set several goals:
- to integrate LCA methodology into the CO2 emission credit quantification process of the Kyoto Protocol
- LCA framework must be broadened to ingrate the elements that have been set aside up until now, including the “consequential”, temporal and social components
- significant efforts must be focussed on the development and scientific validation of life cycle impact measurement models and the creation of new indicators
- integrate knowledge with the development of decision-support software.
